The Wilson family have been joiners, cabinet-makers and cartwrights in Auchmillan since 1840. The current business was founded by James Wilson, grandfather of the current managing director, around 1900. As well as building new houses throughout Ayrshire, the company undertook alterations and improvements to country estates including Barskimming House, Fairlie House, Carnell House, Doonholm House, Blair House at Dalry and Newhark Castle. Other renovation works included Carrick Lodge Hotel, the Bruce Inn, the Royal Hotel in Cumnock and Cumnock College.
The company is now run by James Wilson, there is a staff of six and two apprentices.
We are members of the Scottish Building Federation and are CLE approved.
